Return (carriage return)
You press return (otherwise known as "carriage return" or "CR") on a personal computer to move the cursor to the
beginning of a new line. Return is used in a word processing document
to end a paragraph. On the Web you may be instructed to "hit
return" to submit a form, for example.
When you're writing in HTML, you can't simply hit "return" to
end a paragraph, because Web browsers will ignore it. Instead, you have
to indicate the end of a paragraph by writing <P> at the end
of your paragraph.
